Volunteer Info:

  • Minimum age – Grade 12 (18)
  • Responsible for your own transport to and from venue
  • Hours: 06h00 to ±15h30 Saturday & Sunday

 What your day looks like:

  • Arrive at 06h00 at marshal assembly point
  • Sign attendance register, receive, 2-way radio sign-out, T-Shirt & Cap
  • 06h30 – Marshal briefing & lunch pack handouts
  • 06h45 to 07h30 – distribution of marshals to obstacles
  • 07h30 Race Start
  • Marshalling until last participant passes your obstacle
  • Collection from marshal point & redistributed where needed
  • Sweep vehicle follows the last Warrior and pick up marshals and bring to marshal assembly point
  • Sign-in your radio
  • End of the day

What you get marshalling at a Toyota Warrior Race:

  • R500 per weekend (no payment if you don’t show on Sunday)
  • 1 x T Shirt
  • 1 x Cap
  • Food per day: Food parcel, Sandwich, USN Drink, chips, 500ml water, suntan lotion, 1 x fruit (Apple or Banana), packet of Montagu Dried Fruit
  • Marshal Attendance Certificate

After attending 3 consecutive events you are promoted to “Drill Sergeant”:

A drill sergeant gets:

  1. Drill sergeant shirt
  2. Drill sergeant cap
  3. R700/weekend
  4. Eligible to travel with the Warrior Crew to the Nelspruit, KZN & Cape events
