HOW DO I ENTER AND PAY FOR THE WARRIOR RACE?

All entries must be done online.

The entry system (www.saseeding.org) will provide you with two payment options at the end of registration process: INSTANT EFT or CREDIT CARD.

Payment must be done within 48hrs of making the bookings to secure entry.

CAN I ENTER AND PAY ON RACE DAY?

Unless otherwise stated on the event page, we will NOT accept entries or payment for entries on race day, except for the Warrior Kids Races.

All Warrior Kids Races can be entered and paid for on race day at the Kiddies registration gazebo (separate to main registration).

IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO A SUBSTITUTION AND HOW DO I DO THIS?

You can do the substitution online once you have logged into your profile on www.saseeding.org

  1. Click on “My Profile” and then on “My Orders”
  2. Then click “Manage”
  3. Then click “Change Booking”
  4. Add the person as a Friend (if they are not already listed)
  5. Click on the person’s name you would like to substitute.
  6. It will take you their profile and you will see the substitute option.
  7. A R50 admin fee will be charged for this change.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE IN A TEAM?

Teams can consist of anything between 2-8 members (2 MINIMUM AND 8 MAXIMUM). But you can have as many teams as you like. For example: If you have 10 people who would like to all start and race together, you can enter two teams of 5 people each.

CAN YOU ADD AN EXTRA TEAM MEMBER AFTER YOU HAVE REGISTERED YOUR TEAM?

You can add more members at a later stage – as long as entries for the event are not sold out.

NOTE: Teams can consist of a MAXIMUM OF 8 PEOPLE. But you can enter as many teams as you like.

HOW CAN I ENSURE THAT ALL MY TEAMS/FRIENDS START AT THE SAME TIME?
  • Enter as a team – one person can create the team and enter your friends email addresses to invite them to join your team.
  • If you have more than 8 people, you will need to create two or more teams (teams can consist of a minimum of 2 and maximum of 8)
  • Make sure everyone is mutual friends with everyone else (add friend and then other person must also add you back)
  • Make sure that the team name is the same but add a numeral to it. For example: Muddy Warriors 1 and Muddy Warriors 2
  • If you raced together in past, we’ll batch you together where possible
DOES EVERY PERSON IN A TEAM REQUIRE A TIMING CHIP?

Yes, the SA Seeding timing chip is compulsory for all Warrior Race participants.

  • The Warrior Kids race participants DO NOT require a timing chip.
  • The timing chip is a once-off purchase. Once you have your timing chip, you can use it at all future Warrior races.
  • You can purchase it online when you enter or at registration on race day.

CAN I USE A DIFFERENT TIMING CHIP?

The Warrior Race will be timed using the blue/pink timing armbands from SA Seeding. Racetec, Champion Chip and other timing devices will not work.

WHERE CAN I BUY THE TIMING CHIP IF I FORGOT TO BUY DURING THE ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS?

You can purchase the timing chip at Participant registration on race day for R 60 cash, or online as you register for a race on www.saseeding.org

WHAT DO I DO AFTER I HAVE REGISTERED AND PAID ONLINE?
  • Please wait for an email from SASeeding.org – you will be notified of your start time at least two days before the race.
  • Race Day Registration: Register at least 1.5 hrs before the start of your batch
  • You do not need to bring anything with to registration other than your South African ID number/Passport number (just the number – not the book!)
  • You can bring your proof of payment with for peace of mind
  • If you already have blue/pink SASeeding Chip you DO NOT need to attend registration on race day. You can proceed to TAP&GO and then to the race start
CAN I ENTER THE RACE IF I DO NOT HAVE MEDICAL AID?

Yes you can still enter if you don’t have medical aid.

WHAT TIME DOES THE RACE START?
  • Start times can no longer be chosen.
  • The race will work like the 94.7 Cycle Challenge where you enter and pay and then we will let you know A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE RACE WHAT YOU START TIME WILL BE.
  • Start times will be determined according to a seeded index.
  • Individual participants and teams will be batched in start times according to their ability, in an effort to reduce bottlenecks. We’ve been doing performance based batching in mountain biking for years and it works very well.
  • The best athlete in the country has an index of 0, anybody without a result has an index of 100, everyone else lies in between.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN’T DO AN OBSTACLE?

Participants may skip an obstacle if they feel that they cannot do it/don’t want to do it. There is a burpee penalty if you do this.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOLO AND ELITE CATEGORIES?

Rookie ELITE, Commando ELITE and Black-Ops ELITE are the solo, competitive batches in which participant race to win prizes. All obstacles have to be completed in order to not be disqualified. There is only one time slot for each of these categories:

ALL ELITE RACES WILL TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY (early morning and usually before 08.30am)

All 3 usually finish before the start of prize giving at 12pm.

The “normal” (i.e. non-elite) categories do not receive any prizes.

Commando and Rookie Elites receive products prizes from our sponsors and Black-Ops Elite win prize money.

If you would like to enter a team or do the race for fun, please enter the “normal” Rookie/Commando/Black-Ops category (not Elite). The “normal/standard” categories allow you to skip an obstacle if you cannot or do not want to do it (there is a burpee penalty if you do this).

CAN I BRING A GAZEBO?

Gazebos will not be permitted unless you are an official exhibitor with prior permission from Warrior Management.

ARE THERE SHOWERS AT THE VENUE?

Yes there is a clean-up zone to wash off the mud. This is not a place to shampoo and get clean – just a rinse-off zone!

IS THERE A SPECTATOR ENTRY FEE?

Yes. Spectator fee is R30 for all non-participating adults and children. (Children under 3 years: FREE)

The Spectator pass can be purchased on race day at the entrance at the Spectator pay-point.

WHO CAN ENTER A COMPANY FOR TEAM BUILDING?

Anyone can enter the employees and families into the race.

HOW DOES MY COMPANY QUALIFY FOR ENTRY DISCOUNT?

We offer two types of discounts for bulk entries:

  • 24-48 people
    • You will get an additional 1 Free Entry after every 16 people that you enter
    • g.: if you enter 24 people you get 2 extra entries for free
  • 49 -300 people
    • You will get 10 Free Entries after every 48 people that you enter
    • The option to invite Warrior Ric to give your Company a motivational talk at least 14 days before the event takes place. Travel and accommodation for Warrior Ric will be the responsibility of the company.
HOW WILL I GO ABOUT ENTERING AND PAYING FOR MORE THAN 24 PEOPLE?

There are two ways that you can go about entering your teams:

  1. All entries are done online by the company on the official entry system saseeding.org
    • An invoice is automatically created in the name of the person who manages all the teams and entries.
    • Payment must be made within 48 hours of entering your teams online to prevent the entries from expiring
  2. If an invoice is required with the company’s details on it and payment will take longer than 48 hours to authorize
    • email leanne@warrior.co.za with you company details and the following information:
      • Date and day of participation
      • Number of participants
      • Number of timing chips
    • Once proof of payment is received on our end, we will issue you with voucher codes for the entries that you paid for.
  3. You will then enter all your participants on the official entry system (saseeding.org) and use the voucher codes as the method of payment.

CAN I ENTER TEAMS INTO DIFFERENT CATEGORIES?

You can split your 24 + entries over the 3 different categories. For example, you can enter 2 Rookie teams, 1 Commando team and one Black-Ops team.

Teams can consist of anything from 2-8 members.

WILL ALL MY PARTICIPANTS START TOGETHER?

We will ensure that all your Rookie teams start together, all commando teams start together and all black-ops teams start together.

Batches are limited to 100 people so if you have more than 100 Rookie entries for example, we will split them into two batches that start after one another.

WHAT IS IT?

A 500m short course with 10 obstacles

WHEN IS IT?

The short course race will be timed for all participants on both the Saturday and the Sunday

WHO CAN DO IT?
  • Any one! You don’t have to be entered for the Warrior race to take part in the Reebok Sprint Race
  • You can choose to race as an individual race against the clock or as a team event with 3 athletes/members in a team
HOW CAN I DO IT?
  • You need a Warrior timing chip to take part
  • Entries are only available on race day on a first-come-first-serve basis (No pre entries)
CAN I WIN IT?
  • There is a competitive element for those who want to take part and qualify for the prize money
  • Qualifying runs take place throughout Saturday and Sunday mornings
  • Great prize money as well as prize money sponsored by Key Health
  • Short course prize giving takes place on the Sunday in conjunction with the main race prize giving
