Race Information
Same great venue and the same great trails to kick off the 2011 NISSAN TrailSeeker MTB Series.
The Hazeldean race has always been a favourite due to its central location and fantastic single tracks, and this has not changed.
However, this year riders will find themselves treated to even more mind-blowing, hand-built trails, exhilarating river crossings and fast farm roads.
Don’t miss this race and the chance to catch up with some of South Africa’s best mountain bike talent. Relax in the NISSAN chill zone and watch the mountain bike action unfold! Hunger and thirst will be looked after. Great meals and snacks are on offer and a beer garden to quince your thirst while sharing battle scars and war stories with your mountain bike buddies is available. Jumping castle and face painting for kids, and remember the bike bay – we'll look after your bike and even wash it, for a donation, while you relax with a professional massage.
Route Description
Single track, North Shore, River Crossing, Rock Gradens, and Fast Farm roads…What more can a mountain biker ask for? Those of you who rode Hazeldean last year will be familiar with the route, however, there are a few pleasant surprises for 2011.
Provincial Points
All categories will earn points in the series as we have directed. Four out of the five marathons will count, you can choose any and your best four results will be used to calculate your placing. It's up to the provincial selectors, who will be chosen for colours. We will be using the SA Seeding for the Nissan MTB Series in 2010.
